i didnt abominate this, but it was not worth the money spent. the chronological order of the video footage rarely matched what was spoken about in the sage. plus, considerable of the same footage was repeated over and over. i doubt i’ll give it a second gaze, and actually havent even watched it in its entirety yet, because the narrator was annoying. i got carried away buying all that i could with michal in it, but i recommend saving your money on this one. unless it goes on clearance for $1.00.

I recommend this video to anyone in any standpoint, from his fans to those who are anti-Jackson. Not many revelations, but what is needed for MJ’s life is the truth and facts simply being told. That is enough to note who he really was.
For devoted fans, you do not need this for yourself. However, this could be archaic as a video for you to introduce right MJ to your friends who are currently anti-Jackson or are not well-informed of him. Since this is rationally and objectively narrated, it helps anyone collect fairer idea about him apart from the media’s fabricated stories. The mysterious flood of modern information after Jackson’s death have already illustrated that the media had long been fragmented the facts and reported only sensational, mostly anti-Jackson information. Now is the time for the truth to be spread.
Also, a combination of this video and MJ’s performance video would be a sizable respond to your children’s put a question to who Michael was. A safe-for-children video.
This video is a cheerful medium. Supportive to MJ, but no too distinguished screaming fans. Fair facts, which I fill is the best. The only thing I consider is missing in this video is Atty. Thomas Mesereau’s convincing comment on MJ’s trial.

I never notion they’d be able to pull this off, but at long last, Freaks and Geeks is available on DVD. The demonstrate aired briefly during the 1999-2000 season before NBC abandoned it to rush an extra night of Dateline (shudder) . TV truly has become a mountainous wasteland in the time since. A friend of mine worked on the present and let me check out the discs. I was unnerved they would screw up the DVD and do something expressionless like capture out all the songs to effect money (over 100 were conventional) . It’s all there and it is truly awesome.
29 different commentary tracks (withhold in mind there were only 18 episodes) borders on the obsessive, but if you’re a geek, this is bliss. They got all the key cast members, including Linda Cardellini and James Franco, as well as writers, directors, television executives and even the parents of John Daley, Sarah Hagan and Martin Starr and some fans. There are some tall bloopers and late the scenes clips where people are completely out of character. And they also included the unusual audition tapes for the major characters, which are glowing keen. If you go on the Freaks and Geeks website you can inspect a couple clips including Samm Levine’s famed impersonation of William Shatner that landed him a fraction on the present.
In addition to this DVD, they also have a collector’s edition that comes with a yearbook and 2 more discs of extras. But that’s a tiny edition they terminate selling in March 2004 and you can only gain it through their website. Haven’t seen that, but if it’s anything like this state, it will rock.

They obviously build in a lot of work on the DVDs. I’ve seen other TV collections and they peep like they’ve been thrown together. Here, every menu on every disc has a different image from a scene. And every time you change menus (on EVERY disc) a different dialogue clip plays, followed by some of Mike Andrews’ current compositions for the indicate. Some of them go on for a couple minutes and most of these are songs I’ve never heard before. I’m a hardcore fan and I was prepared to rip them if they screwed with the legacy of the indicate….but this DVD blew me away. Freaks and Geeks will become the standard by which all other TV indicate DVDs will be judged.
Yes! F&G is finally coming out on DVD!
For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to examine F&G during its all-too-brief urge, you’ll soon have your chance to experience a proper television gem on DVD. Freaks & Geeks ran sporadically on NBC during the 1999-2000 series, and then in reruns on the Fox (now ABC? ) Family Channel. In short, it’s the tale of two siblings: Lindsay & Sam Weir, and their trials and tribulations as high school students in Michigan circa 1980. Lindsay is a junior and a conventional overachieving whiz-kid who undergoes a crisis of self after the death of her grandmother, and tries to acquire herself as a current member of a clique of underachieving stoners. Her brother Sam is a sensitive, nerdy guy trying to compose his blueprint through freshman year with a tight band of dorks and misfits.
As I write this, I realize that a brief summary doesn’t commence to do justice to this multi-layered expose. It’s hysterically silly, poignant, often painful, and never tries to have the neatly tied-up generic sitcom ending. The secondary characters are as well realized as Sam & Lindsay, and really beget the reveal special (including SCTV’s Joe Flaherty as the ambivalent Mr. Weir, Samm Levine as Neil, and Martin Starr as Bill Haverchuck) . There are so many moments on the note that I personally identified with, and I can’t imagine anyone who was subjected to the tortures of high school life that wouldn’t be able to at times. (Though it helps if you lived through the early 80’s or can connect with references to the Jerk, Dallas, Dungeons & Dragons, and/or Neil Peart of Accelerate…) . I could retain on going about the point to, but I’ll let you get out the rest for yourself. Now, to the DVD…

The standard edition of the DVD is described in some detail here, and includes the 6 episodes that never aired on NBC, as well as many extras. However, especially if you are a fan of F&G, you owe it to yourself to check out the miniature Deluxe Edition that’s available directly from the creators of the explain at www.freaksandgeeks.com. Here’s the description from the site:
“In this Deluxe Edition, we build it all into an expanded 80-page foil-stamped and embossed yearbook presented in correct Freaks and Geeks style loaded with photos and memorabilia from the present. The yearbook is filled with personalized notes, tons of photos, even photos of many of you, script pages, a inquire, a letter from Paul [Feig, creator of the show], a Q&A with me [Judd Apatow, exec. producer], details about every present, a letter from Mr. Rosso, poetry, rock and roll lyrics, reprints of articles about the exhibit, and lots more.
· three live “table reads” of some of our best episodes

· a one-hour Q&A with Judd, Paul & the entire cast at the Museum of TV & Radio in LA shot a few days before we got cancelled
· tons more auditions, deleted scenes, promos and outtakes
· some of our popular scenes in the raw footage from a single-camera perspective
· guidance counselor Jeff Rosso & Feedback live in concert

· the fat modern electronic press kit, filled with interviews with the cast and crew
· a script that was never shot
· a special music and photo gallery
· surprise Easter eggs
· even more tedious the scenes footage edited by Jason Segal and Martin Starr
· and other things that are irregular and hard to represent”
It runs for the steep brand of $120, but the diagram I figure it is, this is the only season of F&G you’re going to obtain, so you may as well do it correct! However, you won’t go detestable with either version, so do yourself a favor and check it out.

This is by far Ben Stiller’s best performance ever, and if you can’t be pleased it you obviously haven’t seen it enough times. These people who give the movie one star, spouting non-sense about it putting skinny people in a counterfeit light, are simply incompetent. I’m skinny and when I sleep I construct a very disturbing sound don’t be alawmed I’m lovely, and my feelings aren’t damage by this movie. These critics are spreaders of negativity and I won’t have them corrupting my cult movie. How would their fathers like to know that their children are destroyers. Here is a suggestion for watching the movie…peek it in a mountainous group of people who truly luxuriate in it and can quote it, fast-forward till Ben Stiller arrives, gawk the movie fast-forwarding through the sappy full kid moments like the go-cart and dock (”retain your washboard stomachs and oily muscles”) scenes and press finish when Ben Stiller leaves. You will learn considerable lessons like regardless of whether or not it will “smush” always have crazy guys locked up in cages through over hershey’s kisses making your queen proud, and that lunch can be cancelled due to lack of hustle. In closing I have one final thing to say “Reach on you devil log.”
Pulsating under multiple layers of make-up, Ben Stiller’s portrayel of camp owner Tony Perkis is one of the finest performences in cinematic history. While critics will say this film hits you over the head with mindless paunchy jokes and a mediocre message, the underlying reality is that somehow Stiller overcame what, at one point, must have been an inane Disney script. This movie is a triumph mixing pre teen psychological angst, satirical anarexic paranoia, sentimental summer hijinks, and subtle detailed infomercial insanity. From the “blob” to the shaded kid, the underlying themes of society’s acceptance and approval bubble through the seemingly unilayered comedic glory. “I rise, I rise, I rise” sings the movie’s spirit between the wonderfully chosen songs on its soundtrack. (Maintain an peep out for who’s REALLY playing “Papa” at the end–wink wink) . This movie could not be improved. Now that Kubrick is gone we have one name to recognize to. Bravo, Mr. Stiller (either one) Bravo!

“The Last Hurrah” follows the exploits of mayor, Frank Skeffington (Spencer Tracy) . He? s running for a third term but meets with large opposition from the city council, who don’t be pleased his strong-arm tactics and chronic meddling in their affairs. The pack of detractors is led by Norman Cass Sr. (Basil Rathbone), whose youthful incumbent for the post of mayor, Kevin McCluskey (Charles B. Fitzsimmons) seems an impossible long shot. But Skeffington is not above dishing a puny dirt of his believe on the side. He uses incriminating photos of Cass? s simpleton son, Norman Jr. (O.Z. Whitehead) to blackmail Cass Sr. into relative submission. Skeffington also gingerly berates the elements of city council opposing him, including news paper editor, Amos Force (John Carradine) to whom Skeffington? s nephew, Adam Caufield (Jeffrey Hunter) is an employee and sometimes unwilling observer. As Skeffington, Tracy is pure dynamite, delving out equal portions of brutality and kindness in a tour de force performance that quite easily might be his best! There are plenty of finely wrought cameos to go around, including Jane Darwell? s crotchety spinster, Anna Lee? s subtle and tender performance as the widow and Donald Crisp? s stoic turn as His Eminence, Cardinal Burke. This is one heck of a agreeable explain!
Instituted into the pipeline before Columbia’s penny-pinching regime kicked in, “The Last Hurrah” has had admirable work done on its transfer before being minted to DVD. The gray scale is grand and the anamorphic widescreen version of the movie is very nicely rendered with comely detail, solid blacks and disagreement levels. There is a certain grain structure to this film but it will not distract from the performances. There are no compression related artifacts. The audio is MONO and nicely rendered.

There are, unfortunately, NO EXTRAS!
Political dramas are not my popular type of movie, but I detached enjoyed this film, if for no other reason than I’m a broad Tracy fan and this is certainly one of his greatest roles, and Tracy turns in one of his best performances.
The rest of the cast is also great, especially Jeffrey Hunter as Tracy’s newspaperman nephew, and Edward Brophy as one of Tracy’s cronies, both of whom bag extensive play in the movie. Unfortunately, Donald Crisp as the Cardinal and Basil Rathbone don’t have that grand on-screen time, and Rathbone really only has one gargantuan scene and a couple of other pieces of dialogue here and there, as does Crisp, but they’re calm friendly in their roles.
Buy,Download, Or Stream The Last Hurrah! Click Here
A few scenes seem a puny aged, such as when Tracy tricks Basil Rathbone’s idiot son to obtain the Fire Marshall job so he can blackmail Rathbone into ponying up the housing loan money. The TV interview with Tracy’s young opponent was comely laughable, and I didn’t reflect John Carradine was especially well cast as a used KKK member, magazine publisher, and Tracy’s long-time nemesis.
Other than that, the film’s portrayal of Tracy as a tough, shining, down-to-earth, old-time political boss (or as Donald Crisp refers to him–”an racy scoundrel”) is itself engagingly and humorously done. It provides a interesting and perhaps nostalgic contemplate at a vanished era of grass-roots politicians assist when they stumped in the inner-city wards, shaking hands and kissing babies and vying for votes one-by-one the hard contrivance before the advent of TV changed the political campaigning process forever.
Overall, composed a enormous flick and especially worth seeing if you’re a Spencer Tracy fan.

Larger than life and with twice as many brothers, “Wyatt Earp” struts onto the DVD scene in a “Special Edition” that looks pleasing but is less filling than one might have expected. This sprawling episodic sage begins with Wyatt as a child preparing to urge away from home and join the Union army like his brothers Virgil and James. His father (Gene Hackman in a brief but great performance) catches him as he leaves and returns him succor home. While Wyatt clearly yearns from the adventure he feels his brothers are experiencing, his father knows the truth about war and sets him straight.
Later, James and Virgil return home both exhausted and beat up from serving in the army. Their father has build on his traveling shoes and announces that the family will be enchanting West where there’s opportunity for a lawyer and rich land is ready to be farmed.
Wyatt after many trials and tribulations ends up out west as a lawman. He manages to interest his brothers in coming out to benefit orderly up Dodge City as well. We also find the thunderous conflict at the OK Corral as section of the conclusion of the film and look a amazing performance by Dennis Quaid as Doc Holliday. While the yarn is a bit too episodic and flawed, the film manages to keep one’s interest throughout it’s 190 miniature running time due to Costner’s unassuming portrayal as Wyatt. The proper highlight, though, is Quaid as Doc capturing the fragile gunfighter as he fights the consumption that eats him alive.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Wyatt Earp! Click Here
With the long wait for “Wyatt Earp” to appear on DVD, one would have hoped to have a special edition with a commentary from director Lawrence Kasdan, star Costner and a peek encourage at the film’s reception when it was first released a decade ago. Unfortunately, the Warner Special Edition sticks to the basics for the most part: we accumulate the current 190 little theatrical nick of the film (sans the extended scenes that were added to the video version) ; two documentaries one “unique” one that includes vintage interviews and the other a 1994 TV special; “lifted scenes”, i.e., the footage included in the special video edition and the theatrical trailer.
Let’s stark with the generous stuff first. The magnificent anamorphic widescreen transfer finely does justice to Kasdan’s myth vision for this larger than life western biography. The remastered 5.1 sound captures impartial about every nuance from the unique theatrical exhibition 10 years ago. Honestly, “Wyatt Earp” hasn’t sounded this fine since it was first released in 1994.
The negatives are few but worth noting. The documentaries are magnificent advantageous although a bit too brief. Perhaps Kasdan preferred his new theatrical slit to the extended version. That could account for why these sequences display up on the second disc and aren’t integrated into the film. The lack of a commentary track is a huge minus for the disc, though, as 1) Shining how the film compared to the life of Earp would have been fascintating and 2) Kasdan’s plans while shooting the film and comments would have been welcome.

With the original deluxe release of “Start Range”, I would have hoped for better from this release. On the other hand, expansive care was faded in transferring this for DVD and the extras are roughly what “Unforgiven” received when it was re-released. Kudos to Warner for such a great looking DVD although, again, more extras should have been included.
“Silverado” is one of the best westerns ever made, and “Wyatt Earp” is another generous western by Lawrence Kasdan. The film is a vast sprawling attempt to lift the whole of the iconic lawman’s life, from his boyhood objective after the Civil war through the Tombstone years, and onward toward the Alaska gold-fields. “Wyatt Earp” is unusually ambitious in this regard for a Hollywood film, and attention to historical detail was unbelievable. I loved Costner as Wyatt Earp: as an actor he is very considerable in the Gary Cooper mold; not overly expressive, and this is unbiased the suitable sign for a legendary lawman, & steely gunslinger. Dennis Quaid is a phenomenon as Doc Holiday: skinny and haggard, he looks tubercular (unlike the well fed Val Kilmer in the droll “Tombstone.”) The photography is sumptuous, & the film pick up dramatic and memorable. I can even laud the make-up artists who made the 40 something Costner sight believably youthful for his scenes as Wyatt Earp in his 20’s. Yes the movie is long, and a tighter hand could have prevailed during editing, but compared to the typical Hollywood schlock one sees, “Wyatt Earp” is well worth the hours you invest in viewing it. One of my current films of the last ten years. A enormous film in the western genre!

The ProTour cycling club is the star of this inspirational film about preparing for the Tour de France. The club has two goals–winning and cleaning up the sport of cycling. This is a terminate explore at cycling and what it means to be a competitor.

Neat, orderly microscopic B-picture about a woman who tries to push her husband up the ladder of success only to have it backfire on her. San Francisco newspaper writer Kathy Ferguson (Barbara Stanwyck) meets and speedy marries macho LA detective Bill Doyle (Suitable Hayden) and finds herself plopped down in the middle of suburbia. This is all well and great until she finds her role relegated to the living room with the brainless other wives while the “boys” play poker in the kitchen. Being from a newspaper, she’s veteran to being one of the boys and not one of the “exiguous women”. She finally snaps after one too many of these evenings and starts scheming to disappear her husband up in the department so she can be proud of him and mingle intelligently with the upper crust where she feels they belong. Her plans go beautifully until she runs up against her biggest obstacle, Bill’s boss police chief Raymond Burr. They become end and one night he shows up at Kathy’s while Bill’s away and confides that he needs to retire and is looking for a replacement. Kathy siezes the opportunity to sell Bill as the replacement and commits the ultimate sacrifice via a one-night-stand with Burr thinking she’s cinched the “deal” for Bill. But Burr has other plans—leaving Kathy troubled and guilty over what she’s done. Her next depart will be abolish. Stanwyck always excelled at portraying strong, driven, ambitious women and Kathy is no exception. But the film has an definite feminist slant current for the time. The director and Stanwyck acquire it determined what motivates Kathy and why she she goes over the edge. She loves her husband enough to go all out for him but shiny enough to know that she will attend too. She’s too strong a woman to unbiased sit around and mindlessly gossip over dresses, diets and phony aspirations. Her aspirations are staunch because she knows what she wants for herself and her husband. And it doesn’t include cream cheese and olives. For Stanwyck fans, this is an attractive addition to her gallery of headstrong women with an agenda. It’s not a “substantial” film but it’s fine and worth watching.
This movie might have single-handedly brought on woman’s lib. When middle-aged San Francisco reporter Kathy Ferguson (Barbara Stanwyck) meets hunky middle-aged LA cop (Superior Hayden), she chucks her career for savor. This lands her in the San Fernando Valley in the dining room listening to the unbearably grating chatter of her husband’s cop buddies wives. Naturally, this drives Kathy completely bonkers (If I heard the words “cream cheese and olive” one more time, I might have gone bonkers with her), and she becomes positive to derive her husband to the top at any cost! Naturally, mayhem ensues.
This movie is only saved by the performance given by Barbara Stanwyck. She manages to design Kathy Ferguson a true person; she shows the staunch longing, desire (Barbara eyes Reliable Hayden like the prime slab ‘o beef he is, and makes her intentions very distinct), and smarts this woman has, and how frustration at being sidelined by society can bring out fierce competition in someone (today she’d be called manic-depressive) . What’s funniest about this movie is that it’s so subversive. On the surface, we are supposed to be paralyzed, alarmed I mumble you, that Kathy does what she does in the name of her husband’s career. On the other hand, life in the valley in the 50’s is painted as so soul-destroyingly vapid, you wonder how she managed not to go on a killing spree. A really seldom seen gem that any fan of film noir should check out.

What a shame there’s only one more season (and a truncated one at that) of the Rockford files to go after this. Hopefully they’ll include all the reunion shows with the 12 episodes of Season Six.
Oh and don’t forget “At the tone leave your name and number, I’ll accumulate serve to you.”
The Rockford Files, in case you haven’t seen it, is one of the best examples of dramatic television in the 1970’s (if you have seen it you already know that) . The Rockford Files was/is a witty, well written “detective” prove, a genre that was extremely well-liked in the 70’s and 80’s. If you like Magnum P.I. or Simon and Simon or any other exhibit like that then you’ll like The Rockford Files. Rockford did the same thing before they did it, only better.
James Garner was absolutely perfect as Jim Rockford. It’s impartial about impossible to imagine anyone else in the role. The show’s writers and producers managed to gather a perfect balance of drama and comedy (with the comedy coming in the create of dry, sarcastic one liners, usually coming from Rockford) without hurting the dramatic impact of the stories.
The fifth season of the display found those writers and producers on a roll. The Rockford Files was one of those shows that never saw a paddle in quality. It was a gigantic exhibit from open to effect. And now nearly the entire urge of the series is available on DVD.
Watching the DVD’s is almost like going support in time - these episodes (for the most piece) haven’t looked this ample since they first aired befriend in the 70’s. It’s nice, too, to be able to stare uncut episodes (as a couple minutes from each episode of shows from that era are sever for additional ad time when shown on TV in syndication) . Unless you watched the shows in the 70’s you might not even know what you were missing when watching the shows in syndication - but now you will net to survey those scenes previously deleted for commercial time.
If you’re a fan of detective shows with a wry sense of humor then The Rockford Files is for you.

Live In Concert 2006 far surpasses all previous Barbra Streisand concerts released on home video in the artistry of its production, from Barbra’s capable performance to spirited staging, shapely lighting, shapely sound, and overall warmth. Indeed, the Blu-ray presentation is the ideal device to appreciate the demonstrate, as it realizes the moral enhanced resolution captured by the many high definition cameras in Sunrise, Florida’s BankAtlantic Center on that special night in October 2006. Seeing the unbelievable concert in its entirety relives the memorable evening my wife and I shared with Barbra in Atlanta only a week later and promises to be a wondrous experience for first-timers. Barbra’s complete program is here, including her humor-filled Q&A with the audience via ticket cards, shout-outs, and a surprise short version of “Stoney Raze.” The George Bush comedy sketch is excluded but not missed, while the bonus features include Barbra’s extraordinarily comely “Nobody’s Heart (Belongs To Me) ” backed only by piano, “When The Sun Comes Out” (an early `60s concert number), and “The Woman In The Moon” filmed with regular lighting and standard definition at L.A.’s Staples Center at the destroy of the tour. Barbra delivers an spicy introduction to the song and to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senator Barbara Boxer in the audience. Il Divo’s “My Contrivance” appears legal before “Arrive Rain Or Near Shine,” with their other two songs viewable among the bonus features. “The People Slack The Scenes” is a elegant 6-minute segment with comments about Barbra from manager Marty Erlichman (”I level-headed salvage goosebumps”), Jay Landers (”She discovered original meaning in songs she sang when she was younger”), director Gary Smith (”This is forever and should be”), Richard Jay Alexander, and conductor-arranger Bill Ross. Marge Tabankin, The Streisand Foundation’s executive director, speaks for 10 enlightening minutes mainly about Barbra.

While we have enjoyed the Live In Concert 2006 CD for two years, the concert on video, particularly in chubby 1080p HD only available on Blu-ray, really brings you front and center, and Barbra’s musical performances are truly compelling. “Amusing Girl,” sung for the first time in 40 years, is almost all in close-up and sounds as poignant as ever. Another highlight, although often performed, is “The Method We Were” with a gliding camera proceed from one side of Barbra to the other. Throughout the concert, the multiple camera work is flawless and flowing, with fine editing, harkening attend to classic television and concert videos with long-lasting shots that allow us to bask in each lyric instead of today’s quick-cutting style. “New Device” is definitely one of the highlights, as one camera pulls in and pushes out and another captures Barbra’s figure from the sides and her elated smile at the song’s conclusion. “Don’t Rain On My Parade (reprise) ” is a perfect first encore, a sheer delight and bare-footed triumph. For the final encore, “Smile,” Barbra and the audience focus attention on Samantha, her darling white poodle/bichon, whose expansive affection for Barbra is also evident elsewhere in the program. Barbra’s final performance of the evening is sublime and further conveys a renewed emotional connection with her adoring audience.
Wow!! Astounding Unusual Streisand concert on bluray.I was tired of waitng for the American release and not getting it till sometime in JULY (due to the television special) and Yep there are edits here and there but thats nothing current or unordinary, try to forget the process and objective appreciate this immense Musical presentation. For some reason Amazon UK says its only state 2 but that is not correct, several of us in the USA with USA blu ray players played the Europe disc & it works unprejudiced fair, it is site free.Ive had several people, friends and family members say how this concert is different, Barbra is carefree, funnier and more of an actress in her songs, shes not so serious or a perfectionist like in the past, Shes like a kid again kicking off her shoes and kicking up her legs, singing songs she wouldnt touch before like Stoney Demolish and Woman in the Moon, Barbra Amazes again A+

Hopefully I am the first to rate the 25th Anniversary DVD of this movie.
First of all, if you have the new copy that was released a few years succor, derive rid of it! The sound quality of this version is Design better! (No more turning the volume plan up for the dialogue, then plan down for the music.) This is also done in widescreen, so you can peek EVERYTHING! Also, unlike the recent, there are accurate Genuine extras on this version: the fresh theatrical trailer, a TV location, commentary by the producer, serene shots, mini-bios of Neil, Lucie, Lawrence, and Richard Fleischer, AND you can occupy the sound as well! This is worth the money! I only wish my mother was here to glimpse this version, as she was a Neil Diamond freak and loved this movie! This would’ve been one of her Christmas gifts this year.

This review refers to the VHS(1989 paramount) edition of this film….
At the 1927-1928 (First) Academy Awards Presentation “The Jazz Singer” starring Al Jolsen picked up a special award for pioneering the “Talkies”. Obviously sound has approach alooooong device since then and this 1980 original day remake makes genuine employ of it.
Jess Robinovitch(Neil Diamond) is a 5th generation Jewish cantor, tied to his role in the temple in the lower east side of Original York. . His stammer is phenominal(of course),he writes his hold music, ballads mostly and has a chance to strike out on his occupy in Los Angeles.
He leaves for L.A. against the wishes of father, the 4th generation cantor(Laurence Olivier), and his wife, who likes things unprejudiced the scheme they are.

It will buy a while to enact orderly stardom(at least a month!), but with the serve of his recent manager Molly(Lucie Arnaz),it is accomplished! The dilemma is his family is heart-broken with the plot, his wife liked life when it was fair them, his father is torn up about his son going against tradtion.Jess is having exertion coming to terms with the downfall of his relationship with his father. Molly feels responsible for the rift. Bag your Kleenex ready as they work this out.
Diamond’s soundtrack is fantastic. It includes “Treasure on the Rocks” and “Hello Again”.Sir Olivier has not lost his touch, He is serene the master. The British record plays the Jewish cantor steeped in tradtion like he was born to the fragment, his performance alone is worth the glimpse.
The VHS is in hi-fi stereo, Dolby Surround, which enhances this musical. And for more music from the movies by the wonderful Neil Diamond I would recommend:As Time Goes By: The Movie Album
Need a ample roar? This is the one!…….Laurie
